About Vespers In The City
Vespers was planted in 2011 and its members are united by our preaching under Dr. David George's senior leadership, but assisted by Pastor Troy Wilson. We look towards developing plans for serving the various neighborhoods in downtown Sacramento more distinctively and on a deeper, more transforming level, and multiplying ourselves into multiple neighborhood based congregations in the next 5 to 10 years.
Our hope is that this will bring about:
- The City of Sacramento openly welcoming and embracing the presence of Christian churches.
- City groups that use gospel based resources designed to change hearts and form new communities of believing individuals united in serving their cities with the love and hope of Christ.
- City groups that are resourced by Christians teaching in faith & work, social justice, evangelism and community building.
- Ministry for those who work downtown who want to learn more about integrating their faith & work.
